Sawadee! The World’s First Chatuchak Night Market Outside Thailand returns to Singapore in 2023

It is with great pleasure to announce that the world’s first Chatuchak Night Market outside of Thailand greets Sawadee to Singaporeans as it returns for two months in 2023, from 7 February to 2 April. The open-air market will be open almost daily – Tuesdays to Sundays from 4.30 pm to 10.30 pm and will run at the spacious spot it previously did: The Grandstand South Carpark on Turf Club Road in Bukit Timah.

The market will boast over 180 different vendors peddling the likes of street food, handicrafts, and antiques; with some even flying in – on a rotation basis – from the original venue in Bangkok. There will be around 200 seats erected around the 20,000 sq. ft. festival space so visitors can enjoy their treats with a cold one and soak in the vibrant atmosphere.

Event Organiser of Chatuchak Singapore, Keith Tay commented, “We brought the famous open-air night market back as we aim to replicate the atmosphere of Thai-style night markets and let visitors savour a wider variety of Thai food beyond tom yum soup and pad thai. If you are among those who have not had a chance to visit the Thai capital since the coronavirus outbreak, you can get a similar experience at a replica of the Bangkok market here through our charming selection of Thai street food and merchandise. “

For visitors who are looking to make multiple trips to the venue, there will be complimentary parking or free shuttle buses from Botanic Gardens, Clementi, and Toa Payoh to take them to and fro.
